Representing the vastness and diversity of Canada, our national parks are a legacy handed down by those who have shaped and defined what it means to be Canadian. This magnificent book is a celebration of that legacy which began 125 years ago with the creation of Canada's first national park in Banff. Today, 42 national parks are found throughout the country, each one a valuable and distinctive thread of the fabric of our nation.
This unique collection of images features the stunning works of 39 of our most talented landscape photographers. As seen through their lenses, Canada's national parks are bastions of beauty highlighting the very best of this nation. The images are a breathtaking reflection of the diversity and grandeur of our protected natural landscapes, their flora and their fauna.
Published by Canopy (formerly Markets Initiative) with photographic and design contributions by Parks Canada, the book is printed in both official languages, on paper free of fibres from endangered forests. Included in the book is a free family Day Pass to any of the national parks, intended to encourage more people to visit our national parks, national marine conservation areas and national historic sites (a value of up to $44).
